I have a button on a form, which composes a new document. In Notes R5.0.10,the following line behaved just as you would expect;Call ws.ComposeDocument(,“MSCMinutes”)
…it composed a new document, using the form MSCMinutes.
In Notes 6.5.2 I am getting very wierd behaviour under the following circumstance; the views in the database have a form formula.
What happens is that .ComposeDocument() seems to ignore the form name it is given, and instead tries to use the form that’s specified in the view form formulas.
I have got around the problem by using .EditDocument instead, which does not seem to suffer from the problem, like this;
set uiWS = New NotesUIWorkspace
set db = uiWS.CurrentDatabase.Database
set docExtra = new NotesDocument(db)
call docExtra.ReplaceItemValue(“Form”, “MSCMinutes”)
call uiWS.EditDocument(True, docExtra)
I just wondered whether anyone else has stumbled over this strange behaviour?
Cheers, Ian
