Notes2Domino via ISDN?

I’m shocked! My problem is very simple, i need to connect my HomeOffice-PC (ISDN-card inside) with a Domino-Server using “Notes Direct Dialup”. This wasn’t really possible with R5.

Now I took a look at the R6-Trials and expected to find ISDN-capablities in the “Create Server Connection”-Form. But, Lotus slept on. As in R5, there are only the COMx-Checkboxes for AnalogModems but no way to use ISDN, which doesn’t use COMx.

And searching all the documentation only leads to “Notes Connect for ISDN” from the IT-Stoneage 1998.

What’s going on ??? Am I wrong? Did I misunderstand something?

Dear Frank,

direct ISDN support has been droppped with Notes 6. The Notes ISDN Kit for R5 might be old but it worked like a charm for me (there are also several versions available so please be careful). It does not work with Notes 6.

So if you need an ISDN connection you might be successful with some foreign tools like CFos.

Yes…there’s only the CFos as (simple Client-) ISDN-Tool possible (you have to create also a CFos.mdm - file).

As alternative, you could establish a connection router-router for network dialup. With this solution you have the advantage to more “free” in order of handling your networks for example, but also more expensive.
