I’ve created a Notes View Container which links to a categorized view.I’ve wired it to another view to filter a category.
It works perfectly as a native render, but when I change the container to use java it only displays the documents in the first 6 or so categories (as listed in the view)
I’m guessing it’s a bug, but 8.51 is really driving me nuts, my clients are screaming.
Subject: re Notes View Container on displaying a handful of categories
Would like to help you but don’t have enough information in your posting to be able to offer any advice. Some questions:
a) Are you building a composite app or a regular standalone NSF application?
b) By Notes View Container do you mean an XPages ViewPanel control (i.e <xp:viewPanel … > control)?
c) If the XPages viewPanel control is bound to a categorized view, what do you mean by “I’ve wired it to another view to filter a category”.
d) I also don’t understand the "when I change the container to use java " statement. What does this mean?
e) I think if you can send me your sample, or some version of it, then it will help me understand the problem you see. If this is possible, please e-mail to “martin_donnelly@ie.ibm.com”

This posting was brought to my attention as an XPages issue. That was a misinterpretation as in fact this is a Comp App dev question, and nothing to do with XPages. I have forwarded these links and your mail to the comp app folks. Sorry for any confusion.
