If NSL is activated, a Notes ID secret file is created in %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\IBM\Lotus NotesIf NSL is deactivated, this very file is not deleted.
If NSL is activated once again, a new Notes ID secret file is created, with another file name.
As a result, the files are accumulated in the directory.
I can’t evaluate if this rises possible security issue, but for aesthetical reasons the obsolete mail file might be deleted.
Hi Christian,You’re correct that those files shouldn’t be left around after NSL has been disabled. They don’t pose a security risk, but the feature should clean up after itself.
Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to reproduce this behavior in our testing. Would you mind telling us the exact path and file name of one of the files which wasn’t deleted?
BTW, thanks for all of the feedback on NSL and the ID Vault.
