Notes routing help

lets see…I have 2 servers in 2 different domains. Server A the assending server cannot replicate to Server B the recieving server. I get the following error when replicating from A to B.

Unable to replicate with server mail\jbantz.nsf: Unable

to find path to server.

I am able to ping server B from server A and resolve via server name.

I have also completed trace from server A, data below.

trace mpadmz01

Determining path to server MPADMZ01

Available Ports: TCPIP

Checking normal priority connection documents only…

Local network connection document found for mpadmz01/mpadmz

Verifying address ‘xxx.x.x.x’ for mpadmz01/mpadmz on TCPIP

Connected to server mpadmz01/mpadmz

I have also added ip address of server B in connection document on server A.

I know the connection document is ok because i can trace to server B from A as trace results show above.

ahhhhhhhh!!! I’m going grey!!

check the person doc for the user whose mail file is mail\jbantz.nsf. I’ll bet the mail file name was accidentally placed in the MailServer field. Fix it.

Guys thanks for the Advice:

To reply to all above

  1. have re-created connection document, no joy

  2. We have 2 other servers with the same details in connection doc but no problems on those servers.

  3. mailfile is not in the server field of the person doco.

Does anyone know of anything else we can try?

Have you tried deleting the connection document and recreating it completely? It might be corrupt.

I’m curiuos about the error message!

Shouldn’t it contain the Server name, not the mail file name?

I would double check you Connection Document.
