Hi,
I’m trying to do some evolution away from Microsoft-based workplaces towards Linux (Debian 3.0r2)-based ones, running CrossOver Office 3.0NB040407, and Lotus Notes R6.5.1 client.
The installation went just fine, there seems to be no difference to a Windows box.
Even opening and working with almost all database is possible! ![]()
Currently there are only two applications I’m aware of, which definitly don’t work, okay, you may say they are rather less important ones, but nevertheless I care about them: my personal mail file, and a Mail-IN db!
When starting the Notes client with wine, I always receive an error message reading: Cannot add directory to workspace. Then when trying to open my mail file, there is a message like: FATAL (0): can’t access notes.ini file C:\appl\office\collaboration\Lotus\Notes\R6.5\notes.ini.
Well, I can edit the notes.ini file by hand, even in the location mentioned above, what I can’t get a grip on is the fact of the trailing '', which I assume is the cause of all my nightmares!?
I do have some log files which I would like to add to this post for the purpose of tracking down this issue, but they are rather large (in total, more than hundred lines).
