**Sametime Version: 12.0.2
**Operating System: Windows
Problem/Query: User1 of Sametime 12.0.2 embedded in Notes 12.0.2FP4 on a Windows system tries to connect to one particular other user (“User2”). User1’s Notes freezes, then crashes. User1 has no problem connecting to any other user. Another user (“User3”) occasionally (rarely) has the same problem when trying to connect to User2. Everyone else, no problems.
1. Test with Sametime Standalone: If possible, log in as User1, log off, then log in as User2. Verify if the client crashes. This isolates account-related issues.
2a. Test on another Notes client: Repeat the same steps (User1 → log off → User2). This determines if the issue is client-specific.
2b. Reinstall Notes client: If other Notes clients work, back up the problematic client’s configuration and reinstall.
If all of above doens’t show you any clue, we may need you to raise a case against Sametime and collect sametime embed client logs:
Yes, helpful.
I learned a bit more about the problem.
I was mistaken about “user3” in my original post. Only “user1” is having this problem.
Also, I learned that user1’s Notes configuration is unique in that user1’s Notes program folder is on a physical workstation, where all other users use Citrix workstations, and user1’s data folder is located on a remote, file-server-based HDD.
