Notes item not found

I have 2 RTI fields and a button. One editable, one computed. When I hit the button, I copy the text, tables, pictures in a computed RT field (I reopen the document in the background programatically).

Everything works ok, except of attachments. The attachment is added in the computed RT field, but if I open it, I receive ‘Notes item not found’ error.

It’s difficult to paste all my code here, but the logic is like this:

Dim uidoc As notesuidocument 'original document

'I use AppendRTItem to append first RT to second COMPUTED.

'Here I reopen document programatically

doc.SaveOptions = “0”

Call uidoc.Close(True)

Set uidocNew = ws.EditDocument(True, doc, , , , True)

Call uidocNew.Reload()

Call uidocNew.FieldSetText(FLD_TEXT_TO_ADD,“”)

Delete uidoc

uidocNew.Document.RemoveItem(“SaveOptions”)

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Subject: Notes item not found

Try to remember what are the fields added to the form after which you are getting that error message. Delete those fields and recreate them which may fix this problem.

Also copy each form event’s code one by one into a Notepad and remove the code from that event and save the form. Repeat this for all the form events(QueryOpen, QuerySave etc…). After saving, close it and open the form again and paste the removed code into that event. This looks to be stupid. But there may be a chance that either of these two will definitely work.

I also got the same error for sometime, about 8 months back, when I double click on a db icon and go into a frameset containing two pages and two forms. I resolved it the same way but do not know when exactly I am out of that error.
