Notes.ini setting to supress windows password check

Does anybody know the notes.ini setting that can be set to supress the check carried out when Notes launches to see if the notes password is the same as the windows one?

My option to switch this off in Notes is greyed out and so cannot be selected in the UI.

I have a couple of users who are plagued by this message each time they open Notes and it would be nice to fix the problem without having to re-install the client.

NB We do not want the users to have the same Notes and Windows password - this was switched on as a configuration error during installation.

Thanks in advance for your time/help

Regards

Alex

Hi Alex,

Not sure of the notes.ini parameter, but this document in the Technical Support site may help with the “greyed out” option:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=single+login&q2=operating+system+logon&uid=swg21161095&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en

Cheers

Craig

If it doesn’t work, stop the service which make the synchronization (something like “LOTUS Domino password sync”)

Hope this helps

Thanks Craig, it worked a treat. I need to get my administrator to give me admin rights to my machine and then I was able to disable the option.

Thanks for your help.
