We run Notes through Citrix, with the Notes\data on a mapped drive to the clients session. if the drive should become unavailable for a short period of time then NLNotes.exe attempts to gain 100% of the processor (for every client), it is then apparently impossible to close notes (network drive unavailable) even after the drive has resumed in windows. The cleanup process takes hours with locked files etc. is there a fix for this? and does the DDETimeout setting have anything to do with this?

Simon, I don’t understand why you are running Notes Client on Citrix mapped drive.Considering all possible combinations (Notes Client running locally, Notes Client running on Citrix server,Notes Client running locally from mapped Citrix drive), your option is the worst possible, I think (any instability of terminal connection can cause database corruptions and heavy troubles, as you can see yourself…). I would suggest (if possible under your conditions) to change to one of other two options.

Maybe i didn’t make myself clear. The notes client is installed on the citrix server C:\program files\lotus\notes
The User’s data files are stored on the H:\notesr6\data this is mapped to the users desktop in Citrix
This is how it’s described in the setup document from IBM
