Any help appreciated.
One of my user keeps getting this message when he tries to automatically archive mail. No problems selecting messages and doing a manual archive.

any default view is available in the database?

If by default view you mean Sent, Inbox, Drafts, Trash - then Yes. I have worked with Notes Admin group and they have replaced mail db desing, compacted db, and I have refreshed/rebuilt the views.

Try to deselect show about database in launch tab of database property and replace the design if required
