Notes/Domino Sharing Domain with Exchange - No syncronization needed

Hi,

Right now we have several locations running Lotus Notes/Domino. We have one location that has specific reasons for changing to Microsoft Exchange. We don’t need to sync calendars, contacts, etc. - we just are sharing the same domain.

How difficult would it be to allow Exchange to be setup in this type of environment? I think you just need to configure each environment with the primary servers to forward unkown email to.

In the event of an invalid e-mail address, how do you prevent mail from continuously bouncing back and forth between servers?

Thanks!

You can do this but unless there is a master list of email addresses you will get loops. Fortunately, Domino detects this and these emails are stuck in mail.box.

I have configured the Domino part in coexistance environments but there has always been one system that is master or a third party directory.
