I have a Domino webmail server in my domain. Last weekend, some user mail boxes got corrupted. While other mailboxes lost the $inbox view, two mail boxes report “File is not a notes Database”. when a run ncompact, nfixup.
Is there anybody out there with a solution to such a problem. I urgently need to recover these user mailboxes.

IF nothing else works - AND the databases contain critical information that you absolutely MUST have - then get back to me. I have successfully recovered databases that were completely corrupt using some API techniques that I have developed. I do warn you though that the process can be lengthy (depending on the problem) and therefore potentially expensive.
If you are very lucky then it may be that only the header of the database has corrupted and that might be easy to fix.

Looks like nothing can work.
Lotuscript has failed to recognise the files as notes databases. I cannot tell whether it is only the headers that are damaged.
Yes, one of these files contain critical information.

Have you tried replacing the design of the mail files ? (assuming that you can see them using domino admin)
