Hi
I had a hard crash on my system here, lost power, and Lotus Notes 8.5 doesn’t start anymore after the crash. I am running Fedora 11 32 bit, Notes 8.5 worked just fine before the lost power event. The issue is always reproductible. I even intentionally crashed another machine (unplugged the power), running Fedora 11 as well, and the issue is present there too so the problem is not hardware related. Can anyone shed some light on this ? I have the nsd results if anyone cares to look at it
Thanks,
Tudor

Send me the NSD file if you don’t mind … andy@us.ibm.com
Also, look for a .lck file
You may need a clean reinstall of Notes …

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I have just sent the NSD. I have tried to remove all .lck files in the home directory. I have also uninstalled notes all together, cleaned up all directories and then reinstall clean w. the same results. I suspect something w/ wither libraries not being seen anymore (doubt it though), prelink or some garbage leftover somewhere during the crash (either gnome or Notes). I have also tried to add a new user and then use Notes as that user but w/ the same issues so that’s why I suspect that the problem is machine wide not related to a particular user config. Any thoughts ?
Thanks,
Tudor
