have a quick question…
-For the lotus notes calendar there is a tool ‘Calendar Cleanup’ whereby can delete all ‘Entries Older than’ for example 1 month
-Is there something similar to manage the Mail please??
Subject: If you have no need to archive mail after 30 days …
There is an option to purge all documents not modified in the past 30 days. You can purge older documents (including calendar items) by clicking on Replication Settings > Space Savers and then check the box to the left of “Remove documents not modified in the last (days)”. The number you will see is 90 but this can be changed to 30 if that is the cutoff interval you’re following. Click the OK button afterwards and the older documents will be purged. You do not need to repeat this action once set on a given mail database.
Subject: archiving
Look at the archiving tools for the mail database. under the ‘archive criteria’ there is a section on ‘what should happen to the documents?’. just removing them is one of the options. You could schedule the archiving to happen on a regular basis, or just run it manually.

In regards to your question you can use the native Domino archiving feature by clicking Actions - Archive from a mailbox. The DCC tool below cleans up calendar and To Do entries, as well as, calendar notices. Note: When a mail user deletes an entry “notice” from their inbox it is not deleted, but rather removed from the inbox and displays in All Documents. DCC will delete these notices.

I would not use the replica purge option. Use the Archive settings w/in the mail client. It has an option to NOT purge conversations in the middle. It can also Archive to nowhere (which is basically a purge), but our company and all the ones with whom we work that use Archiving, either archive to local or archive to an Archive Domino server.
