Notes Client Upgrade Issue

I would like to upgrade my notes clients from domino 6.02 to 6.5. I would like to either use smart upgrade or upgrade by email. I have problems where users are not administrators on thier PCs. Is there something in notes similar to a “run as” in windows that i could set that would allow the users to run the installation as an administrator?I dont have active directory so i am unable to set the run with elevated priviledges option.
