Recently we are facing serious problem with lotus notes client 8.5.1 standard when sending internal group mail.
Some users have ‘Recent contacts’ which is automatically generated by notes client application. For example,
Name: Office
Email: office@somecompany.com
Name: Network Depertment
Email: nos@testcompany.com
Name: test user
Email: testuser@yahoo.com
And also we have our own group with email, For example
Group Name: Office
Email: Office@myoffice.com
Group Name: Network
Email: Network@myoffice.com
Those users simply open new messages and send a mail to a group for send internal mail. For example
To: Network,
CC: boss@myoffice.com,
Bcc:
Subject: internal meeting at 3:00PM
(Body)
But after sending the mail, send item shows this mail accidently (automatically) send to outside user, for example
To: Network Depertment nos@testcompany.com
Bcc:
Subject: internal meeting
(Body)
This mail actually intend for local network group but somehow notes client check the user local address book and find that address match with ‘Network Department nos@testcompany.com’ and send this mail to this wrong email address.
Only deleting this external email address from ‘Recent contacts’ temporary solve the problem but raise again when my users send any mail to this external address (Network Depertment nos@testcompany.com) because this address automatically added to recent item again. We have also a local group name office and facing the same problem.
How to solve this problem permanently? Please help.
