Notes Client 6.5.1. network installation

Hi all,I have a question for you.

I had notes client 6.01 installed on my file server (Win2000 Server) and my users used that client. Today I’ve tried to upgrade the client on the server at release 6.51 but all my users can’t run notes again.

Someone can help me?

In the personal local \notes\data directory we have:

bookmark.nsf

cache.ndk

cluster.ncf

desktop6.ndk

headline.nsf

ini.nbf

user.id

jobsched.njf

log.nsf

names.nsf

notes.ini

nsd.ini

perweb.ini

pid.nbf

ticket.idt

user.dic

and the directory IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT

some details:

we run the client and we wait but nothing happens. On the screen I can’t see nothing.

In the task manager I see nlnotes.exe

First thing to do is to end the nlnotes.exe task…notes won’t start if this task is already running. See if users can open client …if not, I would double check to ensure you installed in the right location. Good luck!

If I stop nlnotes.exe task I stop the client startup so I don’t think that it is the solution. Then about the location, notes has been installed in a network drive under \server\vol02\Notes\Client\R65\Lotus\Notes and I think that it is correct also because the old 6.01 (it works great) is under \server\vol02\Notes\Client\R6\Lotus\Notes
