Notes Admin 8.5.2 64 bit

Will you be releasing a complete uninstaller 8.5.1 uninstaller for windows 7? I was wanting to test 8.5.2 on my machine, but I have tried now for weeks to completely uninstall Notes admin 8.5.1 multiuser from my machine without any success. Supports has had me search through the registry deleting keys. But no matter what I do when I try to upgrade to Notes 8.5.2 I keep receiving the error that Notes 8.5.1 multiuser is still installed.

Are there plans to actually fix the uninstaller?

thanks

Subject: 1. There is no Multi-User Admin client, 2. You can’t upgrade, you must deinstall/install

The install kit for uninstall that was used for installation, so if you’ve installed a Notes only client as Multi-user , you have to use the Notes only kit to uninstall the Multi-user client first. After that, you can use the AllClient kit to install the Admin client as Single User.

Subject: It is still not uninstalling, and again any plans to Notes Admin 8.5.1

Well thanks, but that still does not answer my question, the fact of the matter is that I did uninstall it as any other windows program, so the uninstaller is not uninstalling, I should have to dig through the registry to try to remove it, but even that didn’t worked. I did reinstall the Notes Admin 8.5.1, no error there that, it didn’t complaint, then I tried upgrading it to 8.5.2 this time the installation actually finished, I configured, but when I try to log in I now receive this error “The workspace page cannot be used for database icons”.

Ok then I “unsintalled”, rebooted try to Install Notes Admin 8.5.2, and I now get this error: “Error 1714. The older version of Lotus Notes 8.5.2 cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.” in this instance the “uninstaller” again did not uninstall.

So again, are there plans to release an uninstaller that actually uninstalls Lotus Notes completely.

Subject: We are working on your issues.

We wouldn’t release our product with a completely broken uninstall. There is something particular and unique to your situation which we haven’t quite figured out yet, but we continue to investigate and will have a resolution in one form or another soon.

Thanks

Subject: error 1714

We are having the same issue on a Windows 7 32 bit machine. At this point we are just going to reimage the machine but it would be nice if there was a fix for it.

Some things that we tried included msiexec /x package.msi but Microsoft Installer reported that the software is not installed on the system.

Tried uninstalling Java to see if that would have an effect but no luck there.

Cleaned the registry no luck.

Obviously there is something hidden that is causing the issue. That the installer looks at to see what version is on the system.
