Notes 8.5.1.FP1 & Windows 7 Ita

My clients are Windows 7 x32 and x64 ITA with Lotus Notes 8.5.1 FP1 ITA.User profile is administrator on the local machine.

I can’t set Notes as default mail program, the normal installation of Notes doesn’t fix this configuration.

On the PCs there aren’t other mail programs.

I tried to set it manually [control panel → default programs] but nothing changed.

When I push right button of the mouse on a file → send to → mail address

a message of windows appears with this warning: No mail program set for this operation.

Within Internet Explorer…

  1. Goto the Tools menu.

  2. Select Internet Options

  3. Then select Programs.

  4. And then select “Lotus Notes” from the “Email:” pulldown menu.

  5. Restart the Workstation.
