Not authorized to request a password change

We currently have the problem that we cannot change the internet password via iNotes or Verse. When we click on Change Internet Password there, enter the old password once and the new password twice the error message comes:

"You are not authorized to request a password change. Please contact the administrator. The password change has failed. The password has NOT been changed."

The problem exists with all our users and we administrators are also affected.

As it looks it is a bug in Domino 12.0.2FP2. Can we expect a fix in FP3?

Hi Tim

There is a fix for your problem, you need to open a case in HCL.
HCL Notes/Domino - Error in the password change internet user function after upgrading to Domino 12.0.2 FP2 - Community (hcltechsw.com)

Tim, this issue was reported under the below SPRs

SPR# ASAECV5GKX - HTTP password not able to change after upgrading to 12.0.2FP2.

SPR# RPAICW9HZU -Web Authentication to the Vault has uninitialzed element in NAB Lookup method.

Development has provided a hotfix against the SPR# RPAICW9HZU to fix the issue.

Please raise a support case to request hotfix against the SPR# RPAICW9HZU.

Thank you.

Regards

Shrikant J

Are these two SPR's resolved in the Domino14 release?

@Travis Hiscock

SPR #RPAICW9HZU fixed in V14. SPR# ASAECV5GKX is basically duplicate of the SPR #RPAICW9HZU. So, you can considered it to be fixed in V14 again. It is expected to be fixed in upcoming release V12.0.2FP3 as well.

I encountered the same situation on FP2.
Installed FP3, checked it helped, but in FP3 the password was not subject to the requirements of password policies.
After the recent release of FP4, I installed it, everything works, changing the password and password policies for it.
I recommend installing FP4 right away.
