I’ve created two forms with type document. Let’s called it Form A and Form B. On Form A, there is a text field called “DocID” to store the UniqueID. Then there is a button in Form A where whenever I clicked on it, it will popped up Form B in a new window. For Form B, I already ticked the “Formulas inherits values…” and I’ve created a text field called “ChildDocID” with the default value “DocID” but it seem doesn’t work…anyone can guide me?

ok…now I already made two button where the first button is used to store formula(to save the form A) and the other button to store javascript(to popup form B and trigger another button event)…but still the “ChildDocID” field doesn’t inherit the “DocID” value.

in the second button.,instead of javascript.,you can use @command([compose];“FormB”) to open the FormB.,If this is not working.,you can try by passing the value through querystring.

If you are opening the dialog box it will work. Other wise, if you are compsing new document,you have to save the parent document to inherit the values to a child document
