Nomad web application and external database access ¿?

We have a customer that has some old, legacy Notes applications, lotusscript+@formula.
This customer, Recently migrated to Domino 14. and we implemented nomad web. The custmer idea is to remove the HCL notes client, and access the applications only from nomad web.

The problem is that we have a specific application that uses ODBC from LotusScript (ODBCConnection class) and @formula @DbColumn( "ODBC" + @DbLookup( "ODBC" in some forms, fields, etc.

We could install ODBC on the Domino Server (which is windows), but @DbColumn @DbLookup Will it work in nomad web?

In case of LotusScript .... What other options are there for these cases of a Notes application that uses ODBC or ADODB and needs to be compatible with nomad web?

I'm listening!

Thank you very much

I assume you are aware that this is a documented limitation:

https://help.hcl-software.com/nomad/1.0_web/nomad_web_limitations.html

  • Dynamic client extensions via native code are not supported. This includes but is not limited to the following:
    • The LotusScript LSXLC and LSXODBC extensions.
    • Extensions that require a Dynamic Link Library (DLL). For example, the DXJ name picker implemented for Windows.
    • USELSX is not supported.

and are mostly asking what to do about that being a limitation. Is that assumption correct?
