No ID Vault configured but still getting errors

I have recently upgraded the design of an address book to 8.5 (ODS NOT upgraded yet as client rollout still in progress)

I keep getting the following errors in DDM

ID failed to authenticate in vault ‘’. ‘user/org’ (IP address 0.0.0.171:4248) made request. Error: Entry not found in index

(user name and IP changed)

anyone any ideas why?

Do you mean no Vault was ever created when you say ID Vault not configured?Are these new users?

What is the client doing at the time of the messages?

Is the Vault configured in any organizational policies?
