No Backup of Domino 9 64Bit on Linux with TSM/TDP

Attention when installing Domino 64Bit on Linux x86 and doing backups with Tivoli Storage Manager. There seems to be no TDP client yet available to perform online backups for this configuration. Of course we could perform offline backups but that feels so last century.

@IBM: is there a timeframe when this will be available?

…two months later and still no 64bit support…?!

Does anyone know if 64-bit TDP works on Windows 2008 with Domino 9? I couldn’t find anything official yet.

What a shame! I was already looking forward to upgrade our production servers to 64bit Domino on Linux. What is the expected timeframe for a solution?

Thx for the link ! Available on 13 december …

We (TSM) understand the requirement and are looking into it, but at this time we cannot make any formal commitments.

Subject: @Frank

Are you not supposed to work in the same company ?

When Domino 9 is released ALL related softwares should be ready and released at the same time !!! How could you release something that cannot be backed up ?

Subject: Any news here?

We’re now getting close to October and still no resolution?

As a business partner, I find it highly discouraging that IBM, after six months with Domino 9, still hasn’t provided a solution that will allow customers to backup data from IBM’s premier messaging and collaboration platform to IBM’s premier storage management platform.

Should we read this inaction as IBM giving up on one of their products - or both ?

v7.1 supports Domino 9 on Linux 64-bit

Subject: Still no news ???

We won’t migrate to Domino9 if no TSM TDP for Linux X64 is released … Maybe it’s time to go for Exchange …
