NNTP error on client. Newsgroup list truncated to first 32768 groups

I’ve just tried connecting my ND6 client to my ISP’s news server. It works to an extent, but when I click on the ‘Newsgroups’ button within the newsgroup database, the following error occurs.

Warning. Newsgroup list truncated to first 32768 groups

This is a bit of a problem because my ISP’s news feed includes over 64,000 newsgroups. I am therefore missing out on around half of them.

Is this a bug? Is it by design? Is there a workaround?

Subject: software limitation

The Notes client is not the worlds best NNTP client so if you are a heavy NNTP user I would suggest that you look at other clients for that purpose.
