I am trying to install Lotus Domino 7 ( server) on a Vista machine. The install process goes without any problem. But when I want to open the install files to configure the server ( setting server name, domain name, etc.) I first see the Lotus Domino Server window asking me to start Domino as a windows service or as a regular application. In the same window I see that Domino is installed as a windows service. If I choose to run it as a regular application the Lotus Notes server window opns with the message “Could not open the IF file”. And after that the server window closes.
I already have reinstalled the application, but I am not able to configure the server. Is this because I have a Vista machine? Or are there special instructions for installing Lotus Server 7 on a Vista machine? Is there somewhere online instruction how to install Lotus Domino 7 on a Vista machiine
i have no problems installing the 3 clients on the Vista machine.
Any help will be appreciated.
