I have been using the notes client on a local machine without a Domino server but now I need to have two users so I deceide to install a Domino server. The problem is that although I can get my notes client that I have used locally to connect with the server I cannot replicate as I get the mesage “you are not authorized to create replicas on this server”. I don’t see any way of me been able to authorise this as I can’t register my client on the server. Any help would be appreciated.Ian

Open the address book on the server with the lite client and add your name to the “create new replicas” field of the server doc.

Thanks for your response. I have tried this but when the box comes up giving the option to add a destination database I select the server but the add button is greyed out and I cannot add this.

what’s your rights on ACL ? looks like you don’t have enough rights to do the replica.
Subject: Problem sorted
The problem was that because I had originally set up my ID on a local sever and then installed a Domino server that I could’nt get my ID recognised. I created a new ID and then, (although long winded) transferred my mail file and docs to the new ID after turning off local encryption. I then granted ACL rights to the new ID and re-encrypted my files. I was then able to replicate to the server.Many thanks
