New user not receiving external email - error user not listed in Domino Directory

Hi,

I am hoping that someone can help me as I am starting to go round the bend! I have a new user that isn’t getting any external email the sender just gets the error message “user not listed in Domino Directory”. I have checked her person doc and the internet address is correct, if I add another one in there then that works fine, the mail routes through. I have tried load updall -T $users -R names.nsf and that made no difference.

We are running domino 6.5.5 FP3. Any ideas or suggestions will be very welcome!

After much hair pulling and banging my head off the desk. I have resolved my problem. I put the first half of the users email address in to the Short Name field of the person doc. Eg email address was bbuilder@bricksrus.com and I added bbuilder into the person doc.
