New Out of Office Form

Hi,I was thinking if the OOO form can be sent other that using the normal Memo form. I have been trying hard without results.

The OOO notifications are sent by the OOO agent using a back-end NotesDocument. You can specify whatever form you desire in the agent - you can use the Find option in the agent using Domino Designer to see where the form field value is set to ‘Memo’.

Suggest you consider the value to be gained by changing the form used by the OOO agent, as you are sending the document as the notification. If you specify a different form, the OOO recipient will need to have that form in his/her mail file to see the notification document at 100% parity. Also, OOO notifications are sent to Notes users in other domains and to internet users.

I haven’t looked at the agent code, but I would like to add that you COULD send the form along with the document by setting the first parameter of the send method in the document class to True. The issue for me, with any changes to the mail template, is that you must then record those changes and remember to update the template again whenever you upgrade versions of notes. Not a biggie, and we do it here for a couple of things, but keep in mind that if you start customizing the template, you need to keep a record of your changes.
