New messages invisible in one copy of mail database

Here’s a stumper. Well, it has me stumped, anyway. All new messages sent to me since Jan 4 are invisible in the copy of my mail database on my mail server. (Actually, one or two spam messages are visible, lucky me.) All messages are properly visible in any other copy of the database (replicas on another server and my workstation).

Any suggestions?

I worked around this problem by creating a new replica of the database, then replacing the old copy with the new replica. I guess I won’t ever know what caused the problem, but at least it’s behind me for now.

Hi,

I belive you mean “copy” as a “replica”, so you have a problem with the inbox view of your database. Try a updall to fix it.

But updall is task for rebuilding views and indexes, or not? How it can help to repair Inbox folder?

I suggest you to refresh design of your replica on the server.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

Updall is a task to build/refresh views/folders index.

It’s more than one index in the databases, one is for search (full text index, external) and an internal index to display documents in a view/folder.

Daniel

I didn’t really think it would be index-related because the documents are invisible in both the Inbox and the All Documents view. But I ran fixup, compact, and updall against the database as a matter of course, and the recent documents are still invisible.
