New features in Designer for Hannover

I am repeating my question since no one answered it the last time.

Are there any plans to add new features to the form designer for Hannover?

From te scrren shots of Hannover, I can see that there will be a lot f change in the GUI look and feel. Will I be able to re design the GUI for my application as well to have a similar look and feel in Hannover?

Thanks.

It looks as if your question about Domino Designer was answered by the last two responses. While there are going to be major changes to Domino Designer in the future (see Mary Beth Raven’s Blog), they will not be until after Hannover. To answer your last question, you should be able to build GUI interfaces that have a similar look and feel as what has been coming out in the screen shots for Hannover. Just like you could re-design the look of your applications today, I dont’ see why you couldn’t do it in Hannover to give apps a more integrated look.

My understanding is this…

With the first release of Hannover the real advanced in the Designer Client aren’t going to be in the Designer Client per se.

Rather the Lotus Expiditor will provide a platform which will allow the development of ‘composite’ applications which blend/combine Notes 8 and ‘other’ stuff together.

However, you won’t be programming these Composite apps from within Designer, rather you’ll be using some sort of Eclipse/Workplace development thingy to glue Notes and other stuff together.

I’ve not actually seen Notes 8 so I might be completely wrong.

A version of the Lotus Expiditor is already available to download under the guise of Workplace Everyplace Deployment 6.1 which I believe is virtually the same thing as Expiditor.
