New email date is in the future!

Hi All,

When a user was trying to send an email today morning. he noticed that. When ever he is creating a new email, it was showing 02/20/2007 and the time was 09:59am; Both are future dates and time.

But the system date and time was displaying correctly

pls let me know where it went wrong

He is using the local replica of the mail file

lotus notes client and server ver 6.5.4

They must have moved their PC clock forward while Notes was open.

Notes maintains it’s own clock, which is sync’ed to the PC’s clock. However, Notes will not allow it’s clock to move backwards while the client is open.

So if Notes is running, and the user opens there PC settings, and let say clicks on a future date (which updates the PC clock, even if they then cancel) it messes Notes up.

Restart Notes, and the probelm should be resolved.

Check his location document settings and then in particular if his Advanced/Basics - Use Operating Systems Time zone settings is on “yes”
