I am not pleased with Network Solutions’ answer. There was a very anti-Domino tone in the support rep’s voice!?! Mentioned not supporting Domino since 2007… and said it was IBM’s fault! Said Domino only supports chain SSL certs and that Network Solutions changed to cross-signed certificates. I received 4 files including the server’s certificate. I opened the server certificate admin DB and installed the 1st 3 files (tried different orders) then clicked on the install certificate button to install the server’s certificate. There were no errors just confirmations. I popped the KYR/STH files in the server’s data directory (done this many times just not with Network Solutions) and started HTTP only to receive this error…
04/24/2010 10:45:39 PM HTTP Server: SSL Error: No local certificate, key ring file [server1.kyr], IP address [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Any ideas? Is this error due to the non-support of their type of certificates? They said their format changed to cross-signed certificates from chain certs. I just find it hard to believe… Network Solutions said the only fix was an API-level change to the Domino HTTP server!?! …and they could not assist with steps to install SSL because it would violate the Domino software license agreement. What? Am I missing something or is this correct and should I switch CAs?
