Network operation did not complete in a reasonable amount of time

We have a customer reporting users getting “Network operation did not complete in a reasonable amount of time” several times a day.

I’ve checked their domino server and did not see any issue. No high CPU utilization and no errors in the log file the those date/time when users got that pop-up message.

All the optimization settings were exhausted on the client side as well.

Domino server was upgraded version 9.01 FP1 over the weekend and that following Monday users reported this issue.

So, it sounds like it’s also tied to server upgrade too. This was not an issue before the upgrade.

We are also suspecting Cisco switch setting needs to be updated to fully utilize Lotus Notes connectivity.

Any of you out there ran into this kind of problem…Any info. would greatly appreciated…

This sounds like it is related to the network. You should use a Network sniffer to see what is happening. There is a Freeware network sniffer called Wireshark (Wireshark · Download https://www.wireshark.org/download.html) which may be of assistance to you.
