I am looking for some advice and what better place to come than here. in our current environment, my users predominantly have their data folders on the hard drive. But then we have some users who move around from desk to desk, so we then set up their data folder on the network user folder (H Drive). and reference the Lotus Notes desktop shortcut to look for the notes.ini in the Notes folder on the H drive. We also have users who stay at one particular desk, but then other people will come sit at that desk as well. So we have to icons on the desktop, one to run Lotus Notes of the C drive, and the other for people to come in and run lotus Notes of their H drive.
Well, this works, but it sucks for upgrades and our network engineer would like us to move away from using the Users H drive for the Notes\data folder.
What is the best way to accommodate these users who move around? Set them up as roaming? Use a Multi-User setup?
Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.
