Need help on designing domino network configuration

Dear all,Because of the way my office structured, I need help on designing our domino server.

  1. we have 3 (A,B,C)locations that connected to each others via leased line.

  2. we only have 1 domain (mydomain.com).

  3. we only have one server (mail.mydomain.com), located in location A.

  4. We have multiple clients like lotus notes, outlook and others pop3/imap clients.

  5. Users travels a lot from one location to another.

  6. Users mostly have little knowledge about computers.

With only one server, there are no problem in how user connect to the server.

But now, as the company grow, we plan to add another domino servers, one in each location.

Questions:

  1. Based on my situations, is there any suggestions on how should I designed the domino configurations.

  2. If users moved a lot from one location to another, do they need to change their location every times?

  3. If users want to access their mail via internet, is there any modifications? Because right now we only give one public ip for domino.

Right now I’m thinking to add mail.mydomain.com in each of location dns to point to their own local server, is that the correct way?

Sorry for long post, and thanks in advance.

Subject: Where are the data?

Is the goal to have users access their mail on the nearest (local) server? Are you planning to replicate all mail databases to all servers?

Subject: Location A will be the main server

All the data will be in the main mail server, which is in location A.Location B and C only held the data for their respective users, because the server on location B and C will be in minimum configuration.

So, when user from location B is in Location C they will connect via location A.

Only small set of users that have their emails replicated in every locations.
