Hi,
I have to add a ton of users to our domino directory and need to find a way to make them not show up on the NAB when a user with a mailfile is trying to send email and clicks the TO button. These new users shouldn’t show up here since they don’t have a mailfile.
Any help please?

You can create a secondary Domino Directory. We use this when creating accounts for our customers to view some of our web pages. Just make sure you add it to the directory assistance database. Let me know if you need more detail.

It depends on what you are trying to do. Are you setting them up for just the web? You could use the registration database that is in the sandbox. If you need it internally, it all depends on how much information you need on the guy. Ours is bare bones, with just the users first and last name, a user id, and the password field. Then these user ids are put into a ‘web user’ group in the NAB, and the secondary nab is listed in Directory assistance.

That is exactly the way that we want it set up to do. Just need first and last name, a user id, and their password. we have them go into a group on the NAB, but want them on a second NAB that no one outside of IT can see, so that people dont try to send them email. these will all be people just using the web to get to our team workplace and a few databases.

This link is very very old, but the registration template should show you the way. I am actually trying to use it to add the password recovery etc. But having a few issues, but this should definately point you in the right direction.
The registration database will become the secondary domino directory, just have to add it to directory assistance.
