Multiple Windows command prompts appear when starting HTMO

Problem/Query:
When starting HTMO, 3 Windows command prompt windows are opened and closed. This behavior has been observed since HTMO Version: 3.0.12. We 'd like to know if this is expected.

Hi Patrice,

Yes, it’s normal for HTMO to briefly open a Command Prompt window during installation. This behavior is part of the installer’s scripting process, such as configuring registry entries, setting environment variables, etc.

Maybe I expressed myself wrong. The three command prompts appear at every startup of HTMO and also sometimes when “Send/Receive” is clicked. This was not the case prior to HTMO Version: 3.0.12.

Have you tested whether starting Outlook as an administrator results in the same issue?

We recommend creating a support case so we can investigate further.

I confirm that starting Outlook as an administrator results in the same issue. From your answer I assume that this is not a normal behavior. We will possibly create a support case, although this issue has only a minor impact on the user experience.
