Multiple Servers and Resource Reservations

Hello,

I’ve been looking for more information on how Resource Reservations work in a multi-server environment.

I will be adding a second server into my Domino domain. This will be the mail server for another site. I’m not exactly sure how to setup resource reservations for them. Does each server have it’s own reservations database? Is it a single db that is replicated?

I guess I’m just not sure how the calendar knows which database to update and how all users can book all resources…if anyone can shed some light, that would be great.

it explained some concepts, but still left me wanting in some areas…

Subject: Multiple Servers and Resource Reservations

Your Domino Directory contains all the resource and room information. If you look in the directory, under Configuration - Messaging - Mail-In Databases and Resources, you will see each defined - with the server name. When a user makes a reservation, on any server, it’s the Domino Directory that defines where the reservation is sent. So, you don’t need a replica of the Resource Reservations database itself.
