On a test server, I have Domino 6.01 installed. I have created several users on this server with the roaming capability. The Notes 6.01 client, configured for Multi-User, is set up on a workstation.
When I first start up the 6.01 client, it prompts me for user name and password. It then pulls down the roaming profile. The problem I’m running into is that I cannot change the roaming profile. It wants a user id before it will switch.
Subject: RE: Multiple roaming profiles on a single machine
I worked with IBM support on this one. What we concluded was this: If you are using a roaming profile with a Multi-User client, it is possible for multiple users to sign in under a single sign-on (say a kiosk machine) if the roaming profile is set to “Clean-up at Notes shutdown” and if the ID is stored in the NAB for the roaming user.
What this does is delete the Data directory (stored under c:\Documents and Settings<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus\Notes
It takes about 20 to 30 seconds after a user shuts down for the folder to get removed.
It’s not a perfect solution, yet. When Notes is started, the user is prompted to provide a username and server. Once the password is entered, the user will be prompted to select a location document.
