GreetingsI have searched the forum nad have not found my answer
perhaps I am asking the wrong question
I have 2 email accounts
fred@bedrock.com
George@jetson.com
I would like to recieve emails from both internet based accounts into my lotus notes database
Easy enough
When I open an email that is addressed to Fred@bedrock.com and hot reply to I would like the
from address to be Fred@bedrock.com
When I open an email sent to George@jetson.com and hit reply to I would like the from address to be George@jetson.com
This way my clients don’t get confused as to which company they are talking to
Bedrock.com or Jetson.com
This is easily done in outlook and my Blackberry takes care of it automaticcly Can I do this in Lotus notes and if so how?
Thanks
Have Fun
Tim
Subject: here is how
in short… (described for Notes 8.x)
How to set up different mail accounts
-
Set up a separate mail database and a separate Notes Location for each of your mail accounts.
-
Assign the right mail database to each Notes Location.
-
Assign the right Internet Mail Address (“Fred@bedrock.com” vs “George@jetson.com”) to each Notes Location.
How to set up connection params
-
Set up two “Accounts” (=Notes speak, I’d rather name that “Account Connections” or the like). One is for incoming (POP/IMAP), the other for outgoing (SMTP).
-
Assign both “Accounts” to each of your mail accounts – assuming that all your mail accounts require the same connection params.
How to change from a mail account to another
Switch Notes Location by choosing the relevant entry from the Location selection list in the lower right corner of the Notes workspace.
Subject: Thanks for response
I was looking for something like When I send an email it looks at who it was sent to and puts that in the reply to.
I really just want to have my emails all in one database and manage the reply to or sent from fields in each note if possible???
thanks
