I have two new mail servers coming online this month and I have been running a few tests with DAMO. My main issue is, DAMO will not failover to the new mail server. When I change the home server for a user to the new server, the notes.ini is never updated to show the new server name. I can see it the notes.ini that the Notes client uses. Is this normal?

The proper method of moving users to a different home/mail server is through the Administration Process. Without interrupting users’ ability to continue working, the adminp process creates new replicas , writes to the users’ Person Docs on the server and writes to the users’ Location Docs on their clients. Although there are many improvements in DAMO 6.5.5 pre-beta, DAMO does not do this yet. This is being tracked in SPR #MROE66JKH2. Please consider participating in the DAMO 6.5.5 pre-beta download and discussion forum.
However, DAMO does failover to the clustered server if the user’s Home/Mail server is not available. This is not ideal, but would provide a workaround to allow you to get users over to the new servers while decommissioning the old servers.
