Moving emails from inbox to folder

I have a user that has found an odd behavior in the client. When he has many unread emails in his inbox, he’ll open the first one, read it, and move it to a folder. The next email then automatically appears and he again does the same, all the way through his inbox until he’s taken back to the inbox. However, from time to time, when he does this and he’s back at the inbox, there will still be unread emails. From what he’s noticed, they’re dated prior to the last email he read so they were (at least theoretically) already there when he started to read. I have tried reproducing this with a small number of email but have not been able to create the situation. He says it’s only sporadic and usually only when he has a really large number of unread emails. Has anyone seen this sort of behavior before or know of a way to correct it?

Thanks,

Jackie

ask him to refresh the Inbox folder before starting his scroll

I noticed this years ago when I first started using Notes e-mail. The behavior suggests (but I haven’t looked into it to prove it) that the pointer to the next document is advanced twice, somehow, durnig the move to folder, so that you skip a document.

I just changed my behavior rather then look into what might be the problem. Sorry I don’t have a solution, but at least I can confirm that it isn’t unique to your user. Nor do I think it has anything to do with how many unreads there are.
