We have a database on a Domino Application server, we want to move this application from one server to another Domino server. Moving the database is not the issue. Redirecting users to the new database is the issue. How do we redirect these users to the new database without sending them an email with a database link. We have over 300 users who use this database. Please keep in mind that I am a Notes admin guy and not a notes developer.

Your suggestion would be good in a lan environment however the other server is location outside a lan (in a wan environment)

Temporarily cluster the servers2) Cluster replicate the database
Mark the replica on the old server out of service.
Remove the old server from the cluster.
Note 1: Clients need time to become cluster aware
Note 2: Clients will need to access the database during the “out of service” period in order for the failover to work.
