Move User to New Server and Domain

“Both the old and the new mail/roaming servers must be in the same domain (as specified in their Domain name field of their server document…)”

I understand the message and what’s it’s telling me, but I was under the impression that I had the tools required to move a user from Server1 on Domain1 to Server2 on Domain2. It appeared to be a pretty straight-forward, and a “simple” task. I try it. It doesn’t work. I try it again. It doesn’t work. I do a few searches and find []this[]. Should be easy!

The Configuration:

* The users are on "Server1" under the Domino domain, we'll call "Domain1". I'd like to move them to "Server2" under the Domino domain called "Domain2".

* I'd like to re-certify them from CERT "/HERE" to CERT "/THERE".

* I've cross-certified both "Server1" and "Server2" with their respective certifier.

* Each server can "see" each other and successfully connect to one another using a TRACE command from the server console (I've added a connection document in the Domino Directory for each server).

* I've created cross-domain configuration documents in each domain (outbound from "Server1", inbound for "Server2"

* Added each administrator to the the Domino Directory Profile field "List of administrators who are allowed to create Cross Domain Configuration documents in the Administration Process Requests database:"

* "Server1" is allowed to create New Replica's on "Server2"

* AdminP is running and function on each server

I’ve also solicted help via my site []here[].

Thanks in advance,

Ed

I have the same issue. Did you ever resolve this?

Hi, Ed.

This knowledge article should help migrating users to a different domain:
