Effective June 30, 2025, HCLSoftware has completed the migration of all software distribution and license activation to the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal. Activation for new on-premises installations of Volt Foundry will only be possible for Volt Foundry v9.5.20 or above, and activations must be made through the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal. These updates do not apply to Volt MX SaaS Cloud deployments.
Activation instructions are available in the Volt MX documentation, and additional details on the change are available in this FAQ. See below for actions needed, and please reach out to your Customer Success Executive or to HCLSoftware Customer Support for additional assistance or questions.
On-Premises Entitlement Activation:
- The MHS portal is now the exclusive method for on-premises entitlement activation. In order to activate new installations of Volt Foundry, they must be on v9.5.20 or higher.
- Current Volt MX deployments for v9.5.19 or earlier will continue to function through their current entitlement expiration date. All on-premises deployments must be upgraded to Volt Foundry v9.5.20 and Volt MX Go v2.1 or later before their entitlement expires to ensure continued access.
- If Volt Foundry is not upgraded and activated through MHS before expiration, users will lose access to the Foundry console and be unable to modify or publish updates. Existing published apps will remain functional but cannot be updated.
Action Needed:
- Plan your upgrade to Volt MX v9.5.20 or higher or Volt MX Go v2.1 before your current entitlement expires.
- Ensure you can log into My HCLSoftware, which uses the same HCLSoftware ID and single-sign on (SSO) system used for other portals such as the HCLSoftware Customer Support.
- See the FAQ for additional details Volt MX documentation for updated activation instructions.
- We’re here to support you throughout this transition. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Customer Success Executive or to HCLSoftware Customer Support.
