Hello,
We are looking for some feedback on a new feature that has been enabled in the Notes 8.5 beta. It is called the “Repair Calendar” feature and it helps clean up irregular calendar entries, the most classic example being duplicate entries of a repeating meeting. An image of the dialog is below.
If you’ve seen this feature, could you please take a moment to answer the questions below and post them as responses?
We are in need of this information at a critical point in the development process. Thank you very much in advance for your time and information.
What we would like to know is:
-
Have you encountered this dialog? If yes, did you choose to click OK (why or why not)?
-
What did you expect the Repair Calendar process to do? Assuming you ran the process, what was the outcome? Did it do what you expected?
-
When you encountered the dialog, were you the chair of the meeting or the invitee? Have you encountered the dialog for “non-meetings?”
-
Was the repair run on your calendar or were you in someone else’s calendar?
-
If you ran the process, did you check to verify that the entry was repaired? If yes, how did you go about this verification? What criteria did you base your evaluation on?
-
After running the repair process, Notes selects one meeting instance to keep and the remaining duplicate entries are saved in the Group Entries list view. After repairing the entry, have you gone to the Grouped Entries view to retrieve information from one of the other meeting instances? Please elaborate as to what the situation was and what data you were trying to recover.
-
Has this repair process been helpful at cleaning up irregular calendar entries? Please explain.
-
Please share any additional thoughts or comments regarding this feature and your experience with it.
Thank you,
Deb
