Modify Attachment without extracting it

Hi,

I have to modify an excel attachment in a document without extracting it to local hard drive. After modification of the attachment I have to reattach this modified attachment to a newly created document. This whole process has to be done on server with a scheduled agent.

Had anybody done it before? Please provide any related help.

There’s not much you can do to an attachment unless you detach it first.
