Hi there.I built a system ages ago with notes 5. something.
It allowed users at editor level in the acl to use action buttons that modified the acl, adding users and setting their access levels and roles.
It was reported recently that these controls are no longer working so i used the debugger and found that the lotusscript on the action buttons will run all the way to the end where it tries to save the acl after making changes.
At this point it says i dont have access to perform that operation or words to that effect.
This system was fully tested but maybe it was always like that and it went unnoticed. The code works fine when you have manager access but that wont do for admin users, its the old “They’ll delete the database!” fear.
Anyway i need to allow admin users to run the script that changes the acl without giving them manager access to the database. Is there a way to achieve this?
Any comments would be much appreciated chaps.
